Hiking in Immouzer Region
Not quite the High Atlas but a marvellous cultural as well as scenic experience - highly recommended - day hikes are also available for those who wish to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet at the Hotel Cascades.

| Day 1: Depart from Agadir on the Marrakech road and arrive at Bigoudine, near the dam at Tamzzaourte. Here you are met by your guides with donkeys and mules to take you to the villages of Tasguinte and Doutama with a picnic lunch en route. Overnight is some distance on at the village of Ain Asmama (1580m) in a local home. |

| Day 2: Begins with a visit to the Berber village of Tikki followed by the troglodyte village of Dousoulil. Following the gorges, mountains and arid countryside we end up on a high plateau with a side trip to the pretty stone village of Tamouggalte withits remarkable cultivated terraces. During the descent from this plateau we pause for lunch overlooking the rooftops of the houses at Igui n Temristine. Following lunch the trek continues to Isk and on to Immouzer in time for dinner at the Hotel des Cascades. |

| Day 3: After breakfast we head for Timketti along a winding trail partly through open fields in the valley and partly through narrow gorges. The richness of the culture and the beauty of the villages set amongst this wonderful countryside will hold you spellbound. Picnic lunch on the banks of a river with a chance for a swim before heading up the valley of Ait Oualla with its gorges, canyons and hanging palm groves. Overnight is in a local home at Tiskijji Kasbah. |

| Day 4: This morning we continue the journey of discovery through the valley of Timkert with its cascades, fields and wonderful scenery. Travelling over the Tidili Pass we come across the man made oases at Tamarout (plantations of olives, nuts, figs, barley, almonds and corn) before heading on to the Bridal Veil, where rustic scenes of Berber life greet us. The last stop for today is at Zaouia en route back to the Hotel des Cascades. |

| Day 5: Todays itinerary takes us into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains at Ait Ouankrim before descending into the Paradise Valley. The scenery changes rapidly with superb panoramas and unforgettable countryside. Lunch can be extended for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Paradise creek. After lunch the route takes us along the river passed palm groves and banana plantations to Targhzout MKhlouf site of our bivouac pitched at the foot of giant palm trees. Dinner is around the camp fire, enjoying the friendship and conversation of your fellow travellers and guides. |

| Day 6: After breakfast depart for Agadir. |
