You'll have the opportunity to see parts of Dubrovnik’s surroundings rarely seen by visitors.

After this one hour expedition there will be free time to explore the Imperial Fortress, War Museum or simply enjoy the views of Dubrovnik from the terrace - one of the most stunning views in Croatia. You will be provided with a ticket for the cable car for your return to Dubrovnik.

Your day starts with a pleasant bus ride along the Adriatic coast and your first stop will be in the charming village of Orasac. Here olive oil is still made the old-fashioned way; the mill is driven by a horse. You'll also have the chance to taste home-made cheese, smoked ham and wine in one of the old village houses. After your visit you will continue on to the small town of Ston, the "oyster capital" of Croatia. One of Ston's main features is its magnificent 5km wall which surrounds the town. Construction started in 1317 and lasted a couple of hundred years. Of note also are Ston's ancient salt pans which were in use during the Dubrovnik Republic, in fact salt is still produced here.  After visiting Ston, enjoy a walk by the sea in the town of Mali Ston, from here you'll have a great view towards the oyster and mussel farms.  You'll have the opportunity to taste this famous seafood served on a platter in one of the local restaurants.

  • Included: transportation, guide, snack, wine, demonstration of olive oil production, small sea food platter.

The walk will begin from the Old town's Ploče gate and take one of the oldest roads in Dubrovnik (6th century). The ascent is easy and leads to the village above Dubrovnik called Bosanka. While climbing up we can enjoy the view of the old town from the foothills. After about one hour of walking we come to the Napoleon's fort Imperial which was badly damaged during the war and is now a museum of the Homeland war. We take a small rest and refresh ourselves with fruit and water. Then we walk back down to the town and end our hiking tour at Pile gate.
