This tour will uncover the finest sites of Dubrovnik's Old Town as well as giving you an opportunity to view it from a spectacular panoramic spot. Your expert guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Old Town, introducing you to the history and culture of this magnificent city.

Walk from Pile Square to the cable car station, close to the Old Town. From here the cable car will take you slowly up to the top of Srd Hill. At the top the views are far-reaching, affording many photographic opportunities! Below you'll see the magnificient Old Town of Dubrovnik with its ancient rooftops, the forts, the walls and the islands in the Adriatic. It really is THE best view of Dubrovnik.
Once you come back down to earth your tour guide will walk with you to the Old Town of Dubrovnik where the walking tour will commence around this Renaissance city. You'll explore the labyrinth of short, narrow stone streets, the market place, palaces, towers, monasteries and houses, each of which is over 300 years old.
Dubrovnik has always been the centre of diplomatic liaisons between east and west and over the years it has been subjected to many natural and man-made disasters - fires, earthquakes and wars but has always risen again like the phoenix to be the splendid city you see today.
"Those who seek paradise on earth", George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "should come to Dubrovnik". Many agree with him and this is one of the reasons why the Old Town (Stari Grad) and the walls were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.
Leaving Pile Square your guide will walk you through the west side entrance to the Old Town where your exploration begins. You'll explore the town of Dubrovnik before going to the walls, which were completed in the 13th century. The ramparts are still intact and encircle the old city for over a mile and a half. Climbing the stairway at Pile Gate, you will soon reach the top of the wall where your guide will walk you along its entire length. You will see the gorgeous Minčeta Fortress, St. John's Fortress, Bokar Fortress and the Maritime Museum.
