Some of Corfu's finest beaches are found on the west coast and Agios Gordios, its golden sands protected by a backdrop of wooded hills, is no exception. Agios Gordios is one of our favourites, it is developed enough for families to enjoy the variety of facilities as well as the beach life but still (apart from peak season) feels quite secluded. If you feel inclined to take a break from relaxing on the beach Ag. Gordios is ideally located for walking excursions into the surrounding countryside and clifftops or for a visit to historic Corfu Town. There is a good selection of tavernas, bars, shops and watersports to keep you interested on those days you choose not to explore the wonders of Corfu by car, bicycle or on horseback.
