Delectable Short Break to Lapland - 2012

For those who are seeking the opportunity to enjoy all that Lapland has to offer in a short time, the one night Delectable Lapland is an ideal choice. A beautiful unspoilt wilderness location provides the perfect setting for a private family meeting with Santa in one of his Lapland homes.

Sitting deep in the Lappish Fells, right on the Arctic Circle, lies the uncommercialised resort of Suomu. Perhaps the hidden gem of all Lapland resorts, Suomu is the magical setting for the Delectable tour. Accommodation is either in the Arctic Circle Hotel, which offers family rooms suitable for up to 4 persons, or cabins.

Day One

Relax on board the charter aircraft with in-flight meals provided, before landing at Rovaniemi Airport. From here it is a 100 minute transfer as you cross the Arctic Circle to the resort of Suomu. Once you have checked into your cabin or hotel it's time to gather your snow suits and boots and for the fun to begin. Both children and adults will enjoy simple snow games, like tobogganing, tug of war and snowmobiling before relaxing in the restaurant with a buffet style evening meal. Naturally the menu will include children's favourites and vegetarian options. Then it's time to rest for tomorrow as you have an early start in search of Santa!

Day Two

A hearty breakfast will provide you with plenty of energy for today's activities. Step outside the hotel restaurant and the team of guides will be waiting to transport you by skidoo and sleigh. Once you arrive at the secret location you can enjoy husky and reindeer sleigh rides, snowmobiling and other snow based activities at your leisure. Families will be delighted when they meet Father Christmas when children receive their special gift. It is then time to return to Suomu to enjoy lunch in the Arctic Circle Hotel before you depart for the airport and your return flight to the UK. En route to the airport a short stop will be made at the Arctic Circle shopping centre, where souvenirs of your holiday in Lapland can be purchased.
