About Car Hire in Morocco
Car hire in Morocco is relatively inexpensive and road conditions are reasonably safe and easy to negotiate between the major towns; even many off-road routes are becoming popular for those renting 4WD vehicles. With our excellent, competitive prices for car hire, Morocco can open up to some quite unique holiday experiences. Rediscover the World works with a local company who offer both great value and reliability of service and quality.
Roads are good in most regions now, even in the mountains and desert areas they are mostly asphalted and are being upgraded all the time. We don't recommend driving at night though as headlights can be optional and safety barriers on some mountain roads are non-existent. We have all driven extensively around Morocco and will be happy to share our experiences with you if you are at all unsure about self-drive. We have put together some recommended routes based on our knowledge of living, working and travelling in Morocco's vast countryside.
All car hire rates are fully inclusive of unlimited kms, free delivery and collection in major locations, Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Waiver, Personal Accident Insurance, Fully Comprehensive Insurance, windscreen breakage cover. ALL local taxes/fees and there is also a 24hr emergency service with replacement vehicle option if required. Delivery and collection from the airports or delivery to any hotel in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Fez or Casablanca is included in the price, however if you wish to start or finish your rental elsewhere then a small charge will apply as it will be a ONE-WAY rental - please ask us for more details.
If you would prefer not to drive or wish to enjoy the scenery as you pass through this fantastic country then we can offer you the services of a private chauffeur. Your driver will be English-speaking and will be able to co-ordinate pre-booked tours or simply assist with any local sightseeing, e.g. arranging a local, official guide for historic monuments, etc. You would need to bear in mind the size of your party (with luggage) plus the driver when choosing a suitable rental vehicle and, of course, you would be responsible for payment of fuel as usual [* except on our pre-determined private journeys where the route is known in advance and fuel is included in the "package" price.]
We can also offer a fully qualified National Guide who will provide a full guide service as if you were on one of our tours; this would be in addition to a private driver. Only entrance fees will be extra - available only for groups of 6 persons or more.
NB: Please note that car and private chauffeur (or guide) hire is only offered as part of a tailor made holiday booked through Rediscover the World. We offer a wide range of accommodation and sightseeing options and will be happy to put together a bespoke holiday for you which includes one of our excellent drivers and your choice of vehicle.
All drivers and guides are booked on a calendar day basis rather than the 24hr system for car hire; this allows them to get to your arrival point and / or return home at the end of their 'tour' with you.
"The holiday was great and all that we wanted and expected. The logistics worked a wonder and very efficiently. With respect to the guides both were excellent; very knowledgeable and spoke great English so overall a success. The desert camp – was brilliant…. We were expecting rudimentary and basic but it was very comfortable and exceeded our expectation. Having the different guides for the different elements of the holiday also worked well."

"We have just got back from our trip. We had a wonderful time and thank you for all your organisation and sugegstions of places to stay - they were excellent and we especially liked the Kasbah Azul. We had an extremely nice drive called Omar and would thoroughly recommend him to other people who want someone to ferry them around - not only did he speak good English but he was also very knowledeable and took us to see some interesting places en route to the desert and back. Our next trip will be to Fez and Essaouira so we will be in touch."

"Good Morocco holiday, nice and interesting tours, well-arranged visit to the Sahara, excellent driver. Good hotels apart from hotel Fint, which although looked nice from a distance but was not well maintained. Good overall impression."

"Our English speaking driver Yousef was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the places we visited, and discussed the culture and country with us. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We did, unfortunately get sick yousef drove me to a pharmacy late at night and translated to ensure we got the right medication. Yousef was a thoroughly pleasant and professional young man who really added to our holiday experience."

"We are having a most enjoyable holiday in Morocco; the country seems to be as tolerant as its people. Both the train journeys were very comfortable and I am sure the next part of travelling by our private taxi is going to be as good. Our driver Amin is a friendly, calm, polite young man and is very knowledgable. Rabat and Fez are very interesting and require more than just a few days of exploration, but tomorrow we will be on our way back to Marrakach via the Atlas Mountains. By the end if our trip our historical knowledge will have increased considerably! Our driver is full of knowledge and a real gentleman. This trip is amazing. Now I will spread the word about Rediscover the World."

"I would especially like to commend our driver and guide Mr Ali Leghlid. Ali was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and he went out of his way to take us to places that he knew would provide fantastic photo opportunities. Ali was a very gentle unassuming man who showed great consideration for his beautiful country, its environment and in particular, great kindness towards strangers that we came across while travelling in the Atlas Mountains, Draa Valley and in the Sahara Desert."

"Special mention for our final stay in Marrakech (not enough room on the form!!) at Riad Kniza. We have never stayed anywhere that we have been more welcome. Truly felt like our home and the staff were WONDERFUL! Genuinely sorry to leave and will definitely be back, Location excellent, service and food exemplary, and very good value for money. A little haven in the lunacy of this amazing city. Also Kasbah Ellouze - stunning location and brilliant staff. Felt very authentic. Landscape is dramatic and hugely photogenic. Desert trip amazing - we had the camp to ourselves so it felt very personal. Would have perhaps liked to stay an extra night as the dunes are quite breathtaking. Organisation completely hassle-free. Car hire (and Neureddine, the rep) very helpful. Driving pretty much without hitch apart from one bandit incident down south (we had a heads up from your info, so managed to avoid!!) Roads excellent, especially over the Atlas. A really fantastic trip, thank you"
