About Falassarna

Here you'll find five beaches separated from each other by dunes and rocks. Pachia Ammos, a 1km long golden beach surrounded by imposing mountains, is the most popular, thanks to its fine sand, deep crystal waters, and fantastic sunsets - no wonder it is among the most renowned beaches in Europe! It is also very well organised with beach bars, umbrellas, a beach volley court, and watersports.

You don’t have to go far to visit the remains of the ancient town, as well as the quarry, the carved throne, and what is left from the Temple of Artemis. Overlooking the bay of Falassarna and worth a visit too, is the church of St Fotis and St Invincible built in a cave.

This area is ideal for those visitors looking for a quiet holiday, who love open spaces, crystal clean water and sandy beaches. This is a wonderful place to experience the simple pleasures of Cretan life.
