About Galaxidi

Galaxidi is a quiet port town not that far from Delphi.

This picturesque village dates back 4000 years and has resisted attacks from Franks, Catalans, Knights of Rhodes and Turkish pirates.

In the 19th century Galaxidi had a merchant fleet of more than 400 ships so the wealth accumulated during that time is reflected in the grand houses, once owned by the shipping magnates of whom no fewer than 60 lived in Galaxidi.

As well as being a relaxing and uncommercialised place to stay there are superb beaches  near the town and a small port encircled by restaurants and friendly bars.

"We returned from our holiday to Greece on Saturday, and I thought you would like to know that we had a fantastic time. All three accommodations that you arranged for us were lovely. We were also lucky to be upgraded at the Ganimede to a luxury family suite and one grade on the hire car. Driving in Greece wasn't nearly as hard as I'd been told and the twisting mountain roads up to and back from Galaxidi were absolutely beautiful and a joy to drive. So thank you very much for your efforts. I imagine that we will be in touch again for other holidays."
