Resort - Luosto
Lying some 90 minutes north of Rovaniemi is the ski resort of Luosto comprising two hotels, a small cluster of beautiful log cabins nestling amongst the fir trees and adjacent to a slalom ski slope and an attractive log cabin restaurant. In this setting at the edge of the National Park peace and tranquility prevail, it is such a beautiful area that it is quite possible to believe that Father Christmas lives behind Luosto fell.
Day One
You'll fly from your chosen airport to Lapland where, upon arrival, you will be transferred to the steam train. As you slip through the Arctic wilderness what experiences might unfold? This is a special train full of surprises! Upon arrival at your destination will Santa be waiting? No, this is only the end of the line and you must finish your journey by coach. Further into the Arctic wilderness you drive where the only traffic you may encounter could be Santa's reindeer. Upon arrival in Luosto you will enjoy dinner, receive your thermal clothing and your accommodation for the night.
Day Two
Following a substantial breakfast you depart on the search for Santa. During the activity period you will enioy reindeer rides and husky rides and both adults and children will have the chance to drive a snowmobile. The highlight of the day is surely the individual family visit to Santa where children can tell him the content of their Christmas letters. Lunch is served at Luosto after which you head back by coach to Rovaniemi for your return flight.

Two bedroom cabins generally accommodate 4 persons, although it may be possible to obtain some for 6 persons. These cabins are situated 15 to 30 minutes walk from the restaurant. Five 'log rooms' are also available within the main building which that houses the log cabin restaurant - these are suitable for elderly persons in the party who may not wish to walk to and from the cabins. Please note that these rooms do not have a sauna or log fire. Towels and linen are provided in the cabins and log rooms and clients may use the facilities such as the swimming pool, solarium etc at the Hotel Luostotunturi as an additional cost.
