There are so many ancient and natural sites that it is impossible to cover them all but each of these tours provides a good introduction to the country and its history and culture and can be arranged to depart on most dates.

| Day 1 | Arrive into Athens, private transfer to your city hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens. | ||
| Day 2 | In the morning you will enjoy a city tour. See the highlights of Athens, one of the most ancient cities in the world, its famed Acropolis and its museum. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Athens. | ||
| Day 3 | Early morning departure for the Argolis region. There will be a short stop for photos at the Corinth Canal - if you are fortunate there may be a ship passing through! Drive to Epidavros and visit the ancient theatre whose acoustics are reputed to be the best in the world.Proceed to Nafplion where there will be a short stop and through the plain of Argos to arrive at Mycenae. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon (optional stop for souvenirs) depart for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis, where there will be a short stop. Dinner and overnight in Olympia. | ||
| Day 4 | Visit the archaeological site of Olympia with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. Depart via Patras (short stop) to Rion where you will cross the Corinthian bay on the new bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road, to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova (time permitting). Dinner and overnight in Delphi. | ||
| Day 5 | Visit the archaeological site, and, the museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka in the afternoon via the scenic villages of central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Overnight stay in Kalambaka - a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka | ||
| Day 6 | Visit the Byzantine monasteries of Meteora in the morning, return to Athens via the monument to heroic Leonidas at Thermopylae. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Athens. | ||
| Day 7 | Day at leisure or optional cruise to Saronic Gulf Islands or optional half day tour to Cape Sounion. Overnight Athens. | ||

NORTHERN GREECE TOUR - 4 nights

Day 1 |
Drive through the fertile plain of the Beotia region, passing the towns of Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova before arriving in Delphi. Visit the archaeological site and museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, the gigantic rocks. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka. | ||
Day 2 |
Visit the stunning area of Meteora with its ageless monasteries in which you can see exquisite examples of Byzantine art. Leave Kalamabka through the plain of Thessaly and the valley of Tempi and arrive and visit the archaeological park of Dion. Admire also Mount Olympus the highest mountain in Greece and home to the 12 gods in Greek mythology. After the visit leave for Thessaloniki, the second largest and most vibrant city in Greece. Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki | ||
Day 3 |
Depart the morning for the Macedonian hinterland and the town of Kastoria, famous for its lake and its 75 Byzantine churches. A Neolithic lake settlement, 7000 years old, was discovered here and you will be able to stroll through and admire the reconstruction of the village. After Kastoria continue your drive through the plateau of Western Macedonia and arrive in the picturesque town of Edessa. Here you can see the town's famous landmark, the waterfalls. The proceed to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. See the exquisite floor mosaics of the 4th century BC villas in situ as well as in the local museum. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight. |

Morning visit of the city that throughout the era of the Byzantine Empire was the 'co-reigning' city, second in population and prestige only to Constantinople. Visit the unique monuments and feel the glorious Byzantine past in some of the oldest and most characteristic churces in Europe. Rest of the day free to enjoy time in the lively centre of the city. Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki. | ||
Day 5 |
Drive to Vergina and visit the museum, created in the Great Tumulus covering the royal tombs of Macedonia. See the astonishing findings from the tomb of King Philip II, Alexander's father, and feel the thrill of the greatest discovery of the 20th century. After the visit you will start driving south and through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (see the Leonidas monument) and Thebe. Arrive late afternoon into Athens. |

Leave Athens by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal where there will be a short stop. Continue on your journey and visit the renowned theatre of Epidavrus with its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the picturesque town of Nafplion where there will be another short stop before arriving at Mycenae where you will visit the archaeological site and Agamemnon's Tomb. In the afternoon you head from Olympia through the Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic games. |

Visit the archaeological site of Olympia with the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the archaeological Museum. Then cross the plains of Iliad and Achaia until you reach the magnificent bridge crossing the Corinthian bay. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and Itea, arrive in Delphi.
