Harmony Short Break to Lapland - 2008

An ideal tour for those wishing to experience the delights of Lapland in a couple of days with, of course, the all important visit to Santa!!

Includes: Return flights to Rovaniemi, accommodation on full board, reindeer and husky dog sleigh rides, snowmobile ride, snow games, individual family visit to Santa, gift allowance for children. Also includes transfers, thermal overalls AND boots as well as a short stop at Rovaniemi for the purchase of gifts and souvenirs.

Resort - PYHA

Phya is an attractive ski village setting, featuring quality appartments and cabins set in an idyllic location. Phya is known locally in Finland for the excellence of its ski slopes and it is easy to understand why Santa Claus has chosen the area for one of his many homes in the region.

Itinerary

Day One:

The flight from your chosen airport to Lapland will take approximately three and a half hours. Departing early in the morning breakfast will be served during your flight and, where possible, aircraft with on board video entertainment systems will be used. Following your arrival at Rovaniemi you will be transferred to your resort, where you will be issued with warm overclothing and boots to protect you from the cold. Late afternoon/early evening join in the fun of simple snow games including tobogganing, tug of war and snowmobiling.

A buffet dinner will be provided which will also include a range of children's favourites.

Day Two:

Enjoy an early breakfast before leaving for a secret location where a host of activities await, including reindeer sleigh ride, husky sleigh ride and snowmobiles. Here each family will have the opportunity to meet with the great man himself and discuss those Christmas wishes. In due course you will be transferred back to Pyha for lunch prior to departure for Rovaniemi. Here a stop will be made at the Arctic Circle for a fine range of souvenir shopping.

ACCOMMODATION - Hotel, Apartments or suites.

Phya cabins are within walking distance to the restaurant (10-15 minutes on average). These are very varied in style, accommodating from 3 to 6 persons. They are generally open plan i.e. no separate bedrooms and beds vary between bunk beds (in traditional Lappish style), double beds and beds in the loft area for adults and children alike. Cabins always have a sauna, but not all have log fires. If this is important to you then please mention it. These cabins are non-smoking cabins.

Hotel rooms are located in the main building which houses the restaurant. There is a selection of hotel rooms sleeoing 2-3 persons as well as a few family rooms for up to 4 persons. Rooms are well equipped with private shower and WC.

Pyha Suites offer accommodation for up to 4 persons and generally feature 2 separate bedrooms -one with twin/double bed abd the other with bunk beds for children. These have private facilities including sauna, drying cupboard for clothes and a mini stereo system /CD player and DVD/VHS player.

Holy Suites are for 5 to 8 persons and are only five minutes from the main restaurant. The smaller suites have three twin bedrooms and the larger have four. Every apartment has a sauna, private facilities, well equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace and drying cupboard for clothes.
