If you don't have time for a short break to Santa's kingdom before Christmas why not visit him over the Christmas holidays.

Now you can escape those dreary turkey leftovers by flying to Santa's magical kingdom, deep inside the Arctic Circle. Santa himself is feeling a little tired now, after his epic round-the-world journey, but he is always delighted to have visitors to his hideaway cabin, hidden deep inside the snow-draped forest. If you manage to find him, he will be happy to put aside his holiday brochures for a festive season chat. Here is a typical itinerary:

 

December 27

After you land in Enontekio in Finland you are guided to your coach. The journey time is one hour to the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando. Watch out for reindeer in the woods!

Temperatures here can fall to -35C in December and you stop to collect your all-in-one thermal suits and boots, an essential part of your holiday package. Hats, scarves and gloves are also necessary, so remember to pack some for everyone!

After checking in at your chosen accommodation, your Transun rep hosts a welcome meeting, giving you all the information needed to get the most from your break. This evening you can join one of the optional activities.

December 28th

After breakfast, you enjoy your first included Santa safari, a 40-minute Husky Experience, followed by a warming lunch.

Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free of charge. Alternatively you might opt to join the indoor craft activities. After dinner relax or join an optional activity.

December 29th

After breakfast you join your last included Santa safari - the Snowmobile Adventure, followed by lunch. A supervised kids' snowmobile ride is available.

Then the highlight of the day when you board a reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting in his cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift. After dinner, why not join an optional Northern Lights husky safari?

December 30

Check out after breakfast. There should be time for one final play in the snow or to join one of the optional excursions. After lunch depart for Enontekio and your flight home.
