About Marina Hotel
Hotel Marina was originally built in 1969 in the middle of a small fishing town called Izola, where the spirit of the Mediterranean Sea melts with the modern touch of the littoral paradise. Hotel guests can breathe the fresh sea air from their hotel rooms, as most of them face out toward Izola harbour. The beach “Lighthouse” is located only 200 metres from the hotel. Accommodation: the hotel has 49 air-conditioned and modern rooms, the majority of them have a view on the Adriatic Sea. Wi-fi is free of charge. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning / heating, safe, minibar, writing desk, information folder with a pen, wardrobe, bathroom with WC, soap and shampoo, hairdryer, elephone with a direct external line, shutters on the windows.

Every seafood lover will enjoy in the specialities of its renowned Chef Ivica Evačić aka Ivek. He adapts his recipes to the changing seasons and everything is cooked to order – as Ivek never reheats food or uses artificial flavour enhancers on his dishes. To be consistent with his motto “from the sea to the plate”, all of his seafood is fresh and caught that same day. He relies on the resources of Mother Nature so do not be disappointed if you are not able to get your hands on certain ingredients – we rely only on nature’s gifts. The restaurant also takes pride in its cold pressed olive oil, which is made of olives from our own grove and is the base for the chef’s culinary masterpieces.
Marina Hotel Lounge: in the renovated part of the lobby you can relax, read newspapers, browse through a book and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or glass of wine. Wi-fi, computer and flat-screen TV provide an ambience of technological comfort.
Spa & Wellness Centre: you can choose whirlpools, which are free for hotel guests, jacuzzi with Finnish sauna and a room for massage. PARENZANA - "The path of health and friendship"
The thin, winding thread of track that connects Trieste with Poreč had a great contribution to the economic development of Istria. This 123 km long railway in its 33 years of functioning has left an indelible mark on the entire area. Today, the entire route of the former railway is cleared and suitable for hikers and cyclists, along the trails there are numerous resting places and sightseeing spots. Bike rental - € 12 per day.
PARKING: in front of the Hotel they have 24 parking places [no reservations], parking is payable at 8 Eur per day and is not guaranteed for the whole stay. There are also three public parking areas nearby.
The hotel is disabled-friendly – a lift provides access up to the third floor, on the second floor there is a room with adapted bathroom and in the restaurant there is a disabled-access toilet.
The sustainable development strategy of Marina Hotel contains both economic and social development, as well as environmental protection. In the area of the latter, they have established a system of waste separation, hazardous waste management, waste reduction, saving with natural resources (card systems, bike rental…), reducing the use of hazardous cleaning materials and chemicals, reducing the consumption of energy and water.
In the Hotel Marina restaurant they give priority to seasonal goods and local suppliers. All dishes are prepared according to the principle of fresh cuisine, enriched with olive oil with designation of origin from Belvedere Hill. Particular attention is paid to selection of new suppliers: priority is given to locals and those who respect nature and care for the welfare of the environment. The Hotel Marina restaurant committed itself a long time ago to the action “kilometre zero”. Authenticity, culinary genius and freshness – three principles that domestic producers should take into account. Their farming is in accordance with European standards of organic or integrated production, enabling the use of seasonal ingredients in our recipes.
