About Hotel Plesnik
Hotel Plesnik is an Alpine hotel in the heart of the regional park, a small family boutique hotel with over 80 years of experience in the hotel industry.
The history of the Hotel Plesnik reveals a story of family, love, tradition and a passion for socializing in one of Europe’s most beautiful Alpine valleys. Hotel Plesnik’s elm tree embodies their journey – it is one of the symbols of the Logar Valley and represents a bridge between the generations. There are deep roots, the Plesnik family originally owned a hotel in the near vicinity of the current one before the Second World War. The foundation of their project was a small post-war inn that was transformed into a new hotel between 1992 and 1994. It was the following year of 1995 that saw the grand opening and the hotel quickly became synonymous with the modern comfort and familiarity of a countryside house, as well as a boutique family hotel. A new renovation came in 2015/16 and in carrying out the refurbishment the spirit of local tradition, the predominant feature is wood. The solid parquet flooring gives you a feeling of warmth and coziness, which continues in the furniture with their modern inserts in elegant white. Bright tones and designer furnishings are the norm throughout, the rooms now boast an ultra modern shower with geometrically shaped tiles in pastel brown. As a whole, the renovated hotel rooms feel very elegant, with well thought-out lighting and original pieces that will be especially noticeable in the winter days.
Accommodation: 32 recently renovated rooms, flexible design allows rooms offering a comfortable stay for individuals, couples and families. All rooms are equipped with amenities for the most demanding - bathroom with shower, balconies (almost all rooms), phone, cable TV, bathrobe, slippers, hair dryer, minibar, safe, wi-fi.
In the shadow of the hotel, but still covered with sunlight. Slightly obscured by the treetops and yet with a strong presence. This is Villa Palenk (3*). It is a pleasant and comfortable outbuilding, built in the Alpine-style, connected with the hotel by a covered passage, which protects guests from all weather inconveniences. The villa offers a distinctly homely experience with 11 spacious rooms, each with its own individual character - rooms can be arranged to provide family apartments.
Facilities: Quality food with fresh local products is an important value; covered with flowering meadows and green forests and away from everyday hustle and bustle, the Logar Valley is in culinary terms a challenge for every chef. However, they use as many local and organically grown ingredients and products produced and manufactured on the surrounding idyllic mountain farms as possible, following local recipies. All the food is cooked with sensual sophistication and love, without any artificial additives.
The restaurant presents a buffet options and with its large fireplace, which in the long cold winter dinners gently and subtly brings warmth and peace. Opposite the elegance of the restaurant there is the Hunter's room, a dinning room designed in a distinct alpine style. Wooden floors, wood lined walls and ceiling, artfully constructed wooden chairs that proudly show forms of tradition and subtle lighting of the room shape a friendly and familiar atmosphere. The highlight is the beautiful calming view through the window.
Spring, summer, autumn or winter. On a beautiful sunny day, no matter the time of year, the spacious hotel terrace is perfect for relaxing, catching sunlight and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
