There are so many rocky inlets in and aroun Korčula that are ideal for sunbathing and swimming, usually in solitude if that is what you are after. There is a tradition of wine making on the island and we recommend you try some GRK whilst on Korčula; it is one of Croatia's best. The inhabitants of Korčula are great enjoyers of local drinks and good food. The old city has such a special atmosphere that it is no wonder that this verse was written in the 17th century, "You are the adornment of the world, enchanting Korčula .... "
Hotel Korčula (3*)
A traitional-style hotel with a prime harbour-front location. The hotel also backs directly on to the old town of Korcula so has immediate access to its shops and restaurants. There are some nearby spots for sunbathing on the rocks overlooking the Adriatic.
Rooms are either double or twin and have en suite bathrooms, telephone, mini-bar, satellite TV and hairdryer. Some rooms on upper floor have restricted views and are, therefore, a little cheaper. Hotel is offered on a BB basis as there is such a good choice of alternative eating places nearby, however, a good value half board supplement is available.
Facilities in the hotel include an a la carte restaurant (indoors and out on the harbour-front terrace), cafe bar, lounge and pre-bookable watersports.
