Magical Aria Short Break to Lapland - 2008

The Magical Aria aims to include the essential ingredients of the longer tours in a short time capsule. During your visit you will have the opportunity to enjoy snowmobiles, husky and reindeer rides and naturally meet the one and only Santa Claus.

Includes:
Return flights to Enontekio, accommodation on full board, reindeer and husky dog sleigh rides, snowmobiles for adults and children, individual family visit to Santa, gift allowance for children (age 2 - 11) and snow games. Also includes transfers, thermal overalls AND boots.

Resort - Kilpisjarvi:
A wilderness setting, close to the Norwegian border, with log cabin accommodation for a totally uncommercialised experience.

Itinerary:

Day One: Fly to Enontekio and transfer to the resort of Kilpisjarvi. Upon arrival you will be accommodated in a cabin of your choice. Late afternoon and evening following the issue of your warm thermal clothing and boots, join in some simple snow games including, children's and adults snowmobiles. A buffet style dinner is provided in a restaurant near to your cabin. Some childrens' favourites are offered, if preferred, such as chicken nuggets and burgers.

Day Two: Enjoy a substantial breakfast before leaving by snowmobiles and sleigh from the restaurant to search for Santa. A whole host of activities, planned for this morning, include the use of skidoos, huskies and reindeer.Naturally there will be an individual family meeting with Santa Claus. Lunch is taken back in Kilpisjarvi before departing for the airport. A stop will be made en route to the airport to purchase souvenirs of Lapland.

ACCOMMODATION: Cabins

There is a fine range of cabin accommodation here for 2-8 persons. (Please let us know if you are travelling with friends as accommodation is provided in different areas and meals are provided in different restaurants).

All cabins have private shower, sauna and wc, central heating and most have log fires. Most are open plan; the cabins for 8 will have more than one bedroom.

Accommodation types vary, some offering all beds on the lower level and others with beds on more than one floor. Some may even have converted sofa beds. Your party will be accommodated in the most suitable cabin based on the number of people in your party, ages and distance to the restaurant. Dinner at each location is a traditional Finnish Christmas buffet with additional children's favourites so whichever restaurant is allocated to you the meals will be similar in nature.
