Built within a 17th Century imperial palace the Palais Didi is a genuinely charming riad which is a great bonus for Meknes, an underrated destination. Didi was a descendant of the famous Sultan Moulay Suleyman (early 19th Century) and the grandfather of the current owner. Didi had 4 wives, each of them had her own quarters on the ground floor of what is now referred to as Riad Palais Didi.
Located in the Medina, next to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ishmail, the Palais Didi is guaranteed to offer the visitor immediate access to the sights and sounds of Meknes' historic heart. Today Riad Palais Didi is a real masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. Restored in the purest Moroccan style, it is organized around a large patio and a nice fountain where you would eventually refresh during the long summer days.
