Paddle your way through a beautiful gorge!
To reach the upper canyon of Mreznica between Primislje and Trzic, the most beautiful part of the river right in the wilderness, you need a little more effort. Mreznica Canyon Kayaking takes you through a gorge so narrow and deep that the sun enters it for only a few hours each day, around noon, creating spectacular light effects. You will pass cliffs of carved white rocks, lush vegetation and cascading waterfalls, strong freshwater springs and pools of water which are great for swimming in summer. The second highest waterfall on the Mreznica (8m) is a magical place ideal for swimming and a picnic.

No previous kayaking experience is needed and even children from 6 years of age, accompanied by parents, can participate. Two-person sit-on-top kayaks are used which are easy and safe to navigate. You will get a life jacket, a helmet and a paddle, plus long neoprene suit and a rain jacket in case of cold weather. Waterproof containers are available for personal items (camera, drinks, etc.). Don’t forget to bring shorts or a bathing suit, a T-shirt, water shoes, a towel, spare clothes, sun cream, picnic and water. In case of colder weather take a long-sleeved shirt.

Weather: the summers are typically warm and sunny. From May to October temperatures are comfortable for hiking, paddling, and swimming. Rain is always a possibility in Croatia so it is essential to bring adequate rain wear and a jacket in case of inclement weather.
Group size: Min 4 – Max 16 people per group.
Note: if the group has less than 4 people signed up and you still wish to do the trip rather than cancel, a supplement is applicable.
Cancellation: In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions, the activity will be rescheduled for a day or two after the date booked, if possible. If rescheduling is not possible, payment will be refunded in full.
Itinerary
09:30 - arrival at meeting point – Grabovac campsite
10:00 - transfer to the starting point
10:30 - preparing & safety instructions provided by trip leader
11:00 - start adventure
13:00 - picnic break at big waterfall
13:30 - continue down the river
15:00 - finish your day's activity
15:30 - transfer back to Grabovac campsite and optional refreshments
16:00 - end of excursion
