This island, once the capital of Greece, is dominated by Aegina Town, a traditional town full of character. Greek tavernas and fish restaurants mingle with chic patisseries - ideal places to people watch!
Shop for fresh fruit and vegetables from the small boats along the harbour or escape the bustle of the harbour side by taking a wander through the quieter back streets.

A small resort in comparison with many others in Greece. The resort consists of a main street along which you find a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.
The main beach lies just below the main street and is gently shelving - ideal for children. Watersports are also available and there are a few restaurants on the beach if you don't fancy straying too far for lunch!

A beautiful island just a short hydrofoil or ‘flying dolphin’ trip from Athens.

Security - Rediscover the World is a member of the TTA (T6816), we also hold our own ATOL bond (T7172). We therefore provide full financial security and assistance should any part of your holiday not happen entirely to plan. If you were to assemble your holiday yourself you may not have this sort of protection.

Aegina offers quality hotel accommodation in the main town and a selection of traditional apartments and studios in the main resort of Aghia Marina. Holidays to Aegina are ideal for those who also want to explore Athens and the surrounding area combined with a very relaxing and traditional stay. The other Saronic Gulf islands of Agistri, Hydra and Poros are all close at hand, available to visit as day trips or as destinations for holidays in their own right.

Aegina Town is a very traditional Greek town. The main beach is within easy reach of our properties and has shallow water - ideal for children. Rocky coves and secluded bays are also not far away and make an excellent base for snorkelling or fishing. Aghia Marina is a more developed resort but still has a strong Greek character; a safe, gently shelving beach for children and easy access to the rest of this beautiful island.

Our local agent can arrange boat trips to the neighbouring islands of Hydra and Poros as well as cultural or shopping trips to Athens. Other destinations include a full day sightseeing tour of the Argolis region taking in the Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Epidavros amphitheatre and Nafplion.
