(Aegina Island)
Aghia Marina is more geared towards tourism, however still on a relatively small scale compared to many Greek resorts. There is a main street with a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars, a couple of supermarkets, a butchers and a bakery. There is also a decent selection of shops selling souvenirs and some lovely jewellery shops.
The beach lies just below the main street and is gently shelving so is ideal for children and less confident swimmers. If you don't fancy straying too far for lunch there are a few restaurants on the beach offering full meals or light snacks. On the main street you can find our agency - Tour Aegina - which offers money exchange, excursions and they will also order taxis for you if required. There is a good bus service which runs into Aegina Town and from here you can travel by bus to other parts of the island.

The little hamlet of Alones lies about a 15 -20 minute walk outside Aghia Marina and here you find several traditional tavernas - the perfect places to sample wonderful Greek cooking!
Above the village of Aghia Marina sits the famous Temple of Aphaia - well worth a visit. It is a steep uphill walk from Aghia Marina or the local bus stops here on the way to Aegina Town.
