This was a wonderful holiday in Morocco and we want to return. The Riad Al Nour in Marrakech is quiet and charming,perfect for us and near to everything. in high Atlas  our guide Mohammed Jellah and muleteer, also Mohammed were all we could have wished for; friendly, very informative about the region, about nature, wildlife, the socio economic situation. We ate like royalty-delicious homemade tagines cooked up in challenging circumstances. Because of exceptionally hot weather-maybe 40 C even at 2000 m, we had to adapt the itinerary but this was done with much information and discussion with the guide. We got to visit some fine Berber villages and will return to head over the mountain pass we missed. We have never had a mountain  guide or muleteer before but we realise we could not have had such an interesting and rewarding time without them- they were excellent. The Maison du Sud in Essaouira was perfect and the staff very kind and friendly.What  fine place! " I would especially like to commend our driver and guide Mr Ali Leghlid. Ali was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and he went out of his way to take us to places that he knew would provide fantastic photo opportunities. Ali was a very gentle unassuming man who showed great consideration for his beautiful country, its environment and in particular, great kindness towards strangers that we came across while travelling in the Atlas Mountains, Draa Valley and in the Sahara Desert. We were very impressed by the quality of our deluxe tented accommodation, meal and bar facilities, local Moroccan entertainment and the stunning  scenery in the mountains, valleys, and desert. Although we were initially unsure about the camel ride into the desert, this turned out to be an excellent and memorable experience, which we are all really glad that we did. " Quick update on the trip! I plan to do a review for you once finished that you can use, besides that, so far some remarks:
a) thank you so much for the car replacement, i understand it probably was hard for Always to drive a new car from Agadir to Fes but made a difference. At the end of the day the car is the only thing that goes with us end to end. We are totally pleased with the service and thank you for the quick reaction.
b) first night in Rabat was great, the riad and the restaurant can meet the highest expectations!! I would suggest a small detailed map on where to park the car, we managed but maybe others do not. Alternatively you can suggest people to call the riad once in Rabat and they will help.
c) Meknes: super friendly family and environment. They speak many languages and are all about hospitality. For us it was ok they were traditional, others may find useful the remark that alcohol is not served. We did a guided tour by horse (280 dh) that saved us all the heat and took is to some far places. Recommended.
d) Fes: amazing riad. Up to best expectations in all senses. We hired a local guide to help us in the Medina and was super useful, specially to avoid other fake guides and all the people that approach you otherwise. The guy himself was superb, his name is Abdo, in the riad can get him, is licensed guide and made the difference (200dh)
e) Er Rachidia: avoid this riad, just 45 mins drive more you get to the meeting point with the desert guys and this meeting riad is better. The one in er rachidia is not at the level of the rest by far. Still clean enough.
d) Desert: was very ok, the refreshment hostel is great. All in all at the end you go out in the car to meet camels at 18h and come back at 7am next morning. Certainly calling it a 2 days is a bit overstated. That said we had a great dinner and stay at the camp. Definitely the camp owners could benefit of a trip to Emirates or Oman to get some ideas. For us was great, others might feel a bit disappointed. Again, we were pleased. Bereber are also not the friendliest culture but if you know about it, is fine.
e) Skoura: Very nice riad! Full of french. Os a good location for 2, 3 days. Food is fantastic, service great. Very hard to find, needs better signage. We did the 2 gorges and enjoyed a lot.
f) we are now in ksar Inghda and is again up to best expectations. Maybe i did a mistake to put Skoura, Inghda and Marrakech all so close to each other but the place is so great i do not mind. I will let you know the second half but so far we are really enjoying and discovering all the diversity of Morocco in a great trip. Cheers, Miquel Pancorbo - (July, 2012)

" We had a wonderful time in Morocco and would return there for more trekking in the future.
Everything was great--our accommodations, our trekking and day hiking. The trekking team, including drivers, mule men, and our guide Abdul were terrific--thoughtful, careful, and considerate. Abdul was even a good cook. But the camping was very basic in comparison to other trekking trips we have taken. It was okay, but we had expected a tent toilet, cleaner camp sites, and a cook. I think part of is that Morocco camping is basic; there are not that many people doing it, at least not where we were (which we liked). Another minor complaint is that our city guide in Marrakesh was not as good as our trekking guide Abdul had been. He was okay but he seemed to steer us towards places where we would buy things--and we did. Also he didn't always inform us sufficiently. For example, when we visited the Majorelle Gardens, he didn't mention the museum in the Gardens, which we were sorry to have missed. This is a small matter. He did a fair job, just not as good as what we had been accustomed to while we were trekking and day hiking in the mountains and gorges." - McCloud - (May, 2012)

"We want to tell you how much we enjoyed our trip to Morocco in May.  All of the arrangements worked smoothly, the guides were knowledgeable and amiable, and the riads were just what we hoped for—comfort and character. Another high point was the trek to the mid-Atlas mountains.  You mentioned that most of your clients prefer the High Atlas, which are more dramatic.  We found the mid-Atlas to be stunning.  Lots of walking in high pastureland punctuated by ancient cedar forest.  Beautiful scenery, and remote without being wild.  Our mountain guide, Said Jari, was also terrific—he knew many of the Berber people we encountered, navigated easily through the countryside without maps, chose great campsites, and had an almost poetic sense of the landscape.  I would highly recommend him. " We have just got back from our fabulous holiday in Morocco. Thank you very much, everything was perfect. We loved Riad Samarkand.  The garden was like an oasis and it was so relaxing sitting on our terrace (Isfahan Suite) watching the birds building nests in the palms and feeding the tortoises.  They made us a delicious tanjia and milk pastilla. Kasbah Azul was in a beautiful setting right in the middle of the Palmeraie and we had a fabulous meal. We walked around the Palmeraie accompanied by the owner’s dog who made sure we didn’t get lost. Dar Azawad was very comfortable and we had copious amounts of food and got to pet the resident camel, donkeys and dogs but the sheep and cats were too timid. As this hotel had a heated pool, we managed to have a swim before going on a sunset camel ride.  In retrospect, we should have spent more time here to break up the journey and use the spa facilities. Les Tourmalines was very picturesque with large rooms and private terraces. We had a nice meal. Riad Kniza was luxurious and we were upgraded to a Junior Suite (Johara). It was lovely to meet the owner.  We had another nice meal. The staff in all the hotels were really helpful and friendly. Everyone spoke English although, almost without exception, they were relieved when they realised we spoke French.We received an upgraded car - a Landcruiser (Group H, from a Group F) and Jamal couldn’t do enough for us. He always arrived early and we felt very safe and secure, even on the hair raising mountain passes.
