The minimum reservation for our accommodation only service is 3 nights in total, although not necessarily at same property. Simply contact us by phone or email or complete one of our enquiry forms. Prices - our prices are similar to or quite often cheaper than our internet competitors or booking directly and significantly cheaper than those producing expensive brochures whilst our service, knowledge and after sales care is second to none. Security - Rediscover the World is a member of the TTA (T6816), we also hold our own ATOL bond (T7172). We therefore provide full financial security and assistance should any part of your holiday not happen entirely to plan. If you were to assemble your holiday yourself you may not have this sort of protection.

The Dar el Ghalia is owned by the Lebbar family, an old and powerful family in Fez; the building, itself, dates back to a Royal Palace of the 17th Century. Great atmosphere with staff in traditional outfits, located in the heart of the medina and on the edge of the souks. Central courtyard has a number of relaxing areas for eating, reading or just absorbing the atmosphere, roof is covered in winter.

Accommodation

The Dar el Ghalia has a variety of rooms and suites, all named after ancestors of the current owner whose family have owned this house for 300 years, and should suit most budgets and tastes. It even has a private wing for groups or large families. Ground floor suite has fireplace, and jacuzzi. All rooms have heating and a/c, are ensuite and have bathtub unless otherwise stated. There are 6 standard rooms, 4 junior suites, and a large royal suite.

* Large Royal Suite Lala Rkia - would fit a large family; actually sleeps 6 persons in 3 bedrooms

       - (one four-poster, one twin and one std. double), 2 bathrooms and lounge with fireplace.

* Suite Oum Hani (ground floor) - large double bedroom (four-poster), lounge with fireplace, jacuzzi.             

* Suite Laaziza - large double bedroom (four-poster), lounge with fireplace.

* Suite Skalia - double bedroom (twin on request), large bathroom.

* Suite El Guemra - large double bedroom, lounge with fireplace.

* Suite Ezzarka - double mezzanine bedroom (can sleep up to 4 persons), lounge.

* Junior Suite El Yassmine - double bedroom (twin on request) with lounge area.

* Rooms El Khili, Zahra and Mimouna - doubles with en-suite bathrooms.

* Room Fatna - double room with separate bathroom (i.e. not ensuite).

* Room Zhioua - triple bedroom (double and single), shower room.

The riad is available for exclusivity, maximum 26 persons - book very early for this though.     

Facilities

Excellent tradional food available - formerly known as the Dar Tagine, a restaurant of some reputation. Hammam and massage, manicure/pedicure.  A great view of medina from roof (see photo below).
