Ioannina is the largest town in Epiros and the capital of the area. The town is located along the shores of a lake, known in ancient times as Pamvotis and renowned for the beauty of its natural surroundings. |
Adjoining the spectacular archaeological site and a great base for exploring the mountains or simply passing through on a tour of the mainland. |

The city of Volos is situated at the centre of the Greek mainland, at an approximately equal distance from the country's two main urban centres, Athens and Salonica. Thanks to its privileged position at the foot of Mt. Pelion on the Pagasitic gulf, it is a good base for enjoying the sea, wooded slopes, and green valleys that surround it. |
The Halikidiki Peninsula is shaped like Poseidon's trident, the peninsulas of Cassandra, Sithonia and mount Athos meet the sparkling Aegean Sea to the South. The area has unique characteristics including long sandy beaches, remote monasteries clinging to the side of towering mountains, historic sites, superb scenery, vineyards, wild flowers and scented pine forests. The beaches of Halkidiki are famous for their clear blue waters, their fine sand and the rich vegetation. |

This is a truly wonderful and still unspoilt region of Greece with many oportunities to explore the surrounding mountains and towns as well as ancient sites. Car hire or a full programme of excursions come highly recommended. Parga and Sivota are located on the Ionian coast in a beautiful corner of the mainland region of Epirus and together with the Ionian Island of Lefkas (Lefkada) which is linked to the mainland can be combined as a twin centre holiday as they share the same arrival airport, Preveza on the mainland near Lefkas. Sivota is also close enough to use Corfu Airport - ask us for further details. |

Karpenisi Is the capital of Eurytania. Has built on the foothills of Mount Timfristos at an altitude of 960m/2438ft. The spectacular countryside of Eurytania enchants anyone who approaches it. The healthy climate, the forested slopes and the countless streams give the impression of heaven on Earth. |
Thessaloniki, the capital of Macedonia, land of Philip and Alexander the Great, offers all the attractions and facilities of a modern coastal city whilst preserving its glorious and illustrious past. Along with the Byzantine museum and art galleries, the archaeological museum houses the golden finds from the royal tombs at Vergina, where the excavation site has become an impressive new museum. |
|
Athens, the modern capital of Greece with its 4 million inhabitants, has spread itself out alongside a 2500 year past which comes close to perfection in culture and art. Apart from the abundance of its archeological interests, Athens has quite a lot to show to its visitors in the modern city with its renovated neo-classical houses, the "Zappeion", Monastiraki and the Flea Market to name but a few. |
