There are three restaurants at the hotel – the elegant dining room ‘Cristovao Colombo’, the ‘Vicerei’ with Portuguese and international cuisine and the a la carte resdtaurnt ‘La Terrasse’, overlooking the gardens, has local cuisine. The ‘Gazebo’ bar is adjacent to the pool where you can also have light snacks and the ‘Colonial Bar’ has live music and dancing most evenings; various theme parties also take place here.
Leisure Facilities:
Include a large heated swimming pool, health club with heated indoor pool and spa, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna & massage, gym, aerobics and floodlit tennis courts. For the less energetic there is also a billiards room and library. Golfers can enjoy special concessionary rates at the ‘Palheiro Golf’ and ‘Santo da Serra Golf’ courses. Funchal is approx 10 minutes drive away and the hotel has a courtesy bus which runs to the centre of the town. There is also a small shopping arcade at the hotel and a hairdresser and several restaurants nearby the hotel should you wish to have a change of scenery for an evening.
