Lapland Spectacular - Day Trip to visit Santa - 2008

A day of pure magic which will remain in your memory for a long time. This trip is one of the most uncommercialised of all the day breaks, set in the beautiful north of Finnish Lapland.

Upon arrival at Enontekio you will collect your thermal suits and boots before departing direct from the airport by sleigh or skidoo through the unspoilt wilderness to the village of Hetta. It is known that Santa has one of his homes here and it is here that you can relax and enjoy the planned activities for the day. Whilst waiting for the chance to meet Santa you can enjoy a range of activities - reindeer and husky sleigh rides, horse sleigh rides, snowmobile rides for adults and children and toboganning. A simple but delicious lunch will be served at a nearby hotel.

A visit to the snow castle is a must. Here, in an anti-chamber, hot drinks are served from a table made entirely from ice and you can see various ice structures.

Meeting Santa as a family will undoubtedly be the highlight of your day and your children will have an opportunity to discuss their Christmas letters with him and naturally there will be a gift for each child.
