Taroudannt's excellent location between the two majestic mountain ranges of the Moroccan south lends itself as an ideal base for exploring the region, particularly the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the oases of Tata and Akka or even the High Atlas via the exhilarating Tizi'n'Test (Test Pass).

A once-forgotten walled city one hours drive (75kms) inland from Agadir and is sometimes referred to as the grandmother of Marrakech. Located within the green expanse of the Souss Valley and enclosed by the well-preserved old city walls Taroudant will satisfy the visitor's desires for cultural and historical experiences without losing too much on the relaxation front.

The Palais Salam, built into the walls of old Taroudannt and a former Royal palace has a wonderful atmosphere and suits most budgets.		The Dar Zitoun is a high quality small hotel located just a short distance outside Taroudant (3kms). A large swimming pool and rooms dispersed around a wonderful garden of orange trees.

The hotel Riad Hida is located next to the village of Oulad Berhil in the Souss-Valley, overlooked by the Atlas Mountains. In our opinion it is one of the perfect retreat properties in Morocco.
