About Three Centre Honeymoon in Croatia
Split, Dubrovnik and the Island of Hvar. A fabulous luxury honeymoon to Croatia and a great combination for relaxing on the beautiful Adriatic.
START - Split / FINISH - Dubrovnik [or v/v].
Activity code: CR3C01
Duration: 8 Days
This is a thoroughly high quality honeymoon itinerary; it includes three of the best hotels in the three top locations in southern Croatia. We also include door-to-door private transfers (including the two short ferry crossings) and lots of extras such as sightseeing, meals and spa treatments. A fabulous option for a honeymoon or simply a luxurious introduction to Croatia....
Each of the transfers is a relatively short journey so you have plenty of time to enjoy all locations in full as well as taking in the fantastic scenery in between. Your first few days are in the fascinating and sophisticated city of Split in a choice of deluxe central hotels. Here you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel, take a stroll around Diocletian's Palace into which much of Central Split now occupies or head to the nearby beach. It is even possible to visit a national park or perhaps take up the offer to do some rafting or the mulit-zip-wire experience in the Cetina Valley, near Omis.
From Split there is a short catamaran sailing to Hvar Town where your hotel overlooks the harbour, which is filled with many luxury yachts in the summer. Again, there are many choices of activities centred around the sea or your hotel's own spa together with plenty of atmoshere and great dining options in the town.
After Hvar Town we include a private transfer to Dubrovnik, travelling across the spine of the island through stunning scenery all the way to the eastern tip where there is a short ferry crossing back to the mainland at the small port of Drvenik. A little south of here on the beautfiul coast road you will first pass through the "Bosnia Corridor" and then shortly afterwards arrive into Dubrovnik over the Franje Tudjman bridge.
We feel that the best finale to this holiday is a few nights in Dubrovnik where you can relax, enjoy some activities and sightseeing using the local buses and cable car. It is also the perfect location to add some extra nights to extend your honeymoon into a second week.
Accommodation: the hotels in this itinerary are our personal choice of deluxe hotels offering quality accommodation and many additional facilities; you may prefer smaller or more boutique properties in which case we can modify the itinerary accordingly (in the list below we have included suggestions for "boutique" hotels and "small & friendly" options, please do not hesitate to request alternative hotels).
Transport: to take the stress out of arriving and departing we offer a private airport (or port) transfer service. This is carried through your holiday with private transfers included between Dubrovnik and Hvar and then from Hvar to Split. A choice of timings is available, although departures do need to co-incide with a scheduled ferry crossing.
Extra Information: We are able to book activities and additional sightseeing, particularly in Dubrovnik - such as cycling, sea kayaking, wine-tasting, etc.
NB: Flights available to book through us with a range of airlines, from various UK airports.
Itinerary
Arrival at Split airport; private transfer from the airport to your hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel; day at leisure to explore the city of Split on own. Today’s Split is the product of 17 centuries of building, renovating and remodeling. The old town is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. What began as an imperial residence and fortified camp is today an intriguing warren of narrow cobblestone streets, where pre-Romanesque churches live alongside Gothic chapels & history-filled museums.
FREE DAY in Split with options to visit Krka National Park, the Blue Cave near Vis Island or perhaps rafting or zip wire in Cetina Valley.
Breakfast at your hotel; private transfer from your hotel to Split port, pre-booked catamaran tickets for Hvar Town and it is a VERY short walk on arrival in Hvar Town but we will include luggage transport (electric buggy) to your hotel.
When we think of Hvar - we think about the island of heather, sunshine and crickets, the island of lavender, sage and wine and the island of rosemary and secluded coves. Discover the historical legacy of Hvar step by step and listen to the stories of the town citadel, the mediaeval walls, the monasteries and the palaces. A stroll through Hvar’s picturesque streets reveals centuries of Dalmatian architecture.
Breakfast at your hotel; day at leisure to explore.
Sightseeing suggestion – visit the Pakleni islands which have numerous bathing places and a myriad of small, secluded beaches. These are the approximately twenty islets opposite the town; the archipelago is the most beautiful part of the Hvar Riviera and can be easily reached by frequent taxi boats from the harbour, just outside the Arsenal.
Breakfast at your hotel; private transfer in morning from Hvar to Dubrovnik (including ferry from Sućuraj to Drvenik on the mainland). Balance of day free in Dubrovnik to take in some of the sights and the atmosphere at sunset in the old town.
FREE day in Dubrovnik.
"Those who seek paradise on Earth", George Bernard Shaw once wrote, "should come to Dubrovnik". The old city of Dubrovnik has remained basically unchanged since the thirteenth century. Its mediaeval ramparts encircle the city which pedestrians can enter through one of two gates - either way, they find themselves joining the evening promenade Stradun which you can either join or watch, a drink in hand, from one of the various cafes and restaurants along the way. The city is alive with open air markets, artisans' shops and studios, Baroque churches and Gothic-Renaissance palaces, unexpected courtyards, and covered loggias. In the summer, music fills the air as the internationally renowned Summer Festival reveals the magic of theatre, music and dance. In the Autumn and spring, the squeals of schoolchildren travel up and down the stone alleys and the younger generation discovers the unparalleled freedom of a city where no cars are allowed and the stone-faced houses and orange-tiled roofs have remained unchanged for centuries.
Sightseeing suggestion: visit one of the lovely islands of the Elaphite archipelago (recommend Lopud Island with sandy beach).
Breakfast at your hotel; private transfer from your hotel to Dubrovnik airport.

Reviews
"Just to let you know everything was just perfect. We had an amazing time and couldn't have hoped for anything better."

"We spent a lot of time planning our honeymoon trip with Rediscover to make our perfect trip. There was a lot of email correspondence, a lot of questions from us and a lot of patience from Andy and Dawn. We valued their advice on accommodation etc and in the end it all worked out perfectly. The documentation we received covered everything and was very detailed so we knew exactly where we had to be and when. This is what we wanted as we didn't want to think about much on our honeymoon. All of the transfers were perfect. Timing was exceptional and all very helpful friendly drivers. The boat transfers worked perfectly too. Dubrovnik - the hotel Rixos Libertas was just outstanding for everything, customer service, cleanliness, breakfast, room service, location, room and views. We felt we were on a luxury honeymoon here. The walk into the old town was just lovely and we loved everything about our stay here. We took boat trips to Lokrum and Cavtat and did a day trip excursion on a galleon ship to 3 of the Elphite islands, we also treated oursleves to the taster menu in the Dubrovnik360 restaurant just amaxing! Hvar - this is just a beautiful island, we arrived off the catamaran early evening to a wonderful atmosphere, we got a little bit lost finding the hotel but only because it was dark, the instructions were spot on, the hotel Villa Nora is in a perfect location on a back street, we were a little bit disappointed with our room but this was entirely our fault, we'd requested the junior suite which we didn't realise was so big and definitely too big for us for 2 nights, on our last day we used the bathroom in another room after we had checked out and this room would have been perfect for us, we had just gone for what we thought was the best, we did have a request for a balcony room noted on our itinerary but we did not get this, it didn't matter roo much for such a short stay, breakfast outside in the courtyard was lovely, Hvar Town is amazing so many places to eat and lovely walks, we visited the fortress for the most amazing views, we caught the bus to Stari Grad another amazing place for exploring Split - we were met off the catamaran for a super short journey of 2mins to the city walls, here we were collected by a golf buggy from the hotel which was just brilliant, our escort was fantastic, the hotel was in the perfect location within the palace walls and we are so glad we chose this hotel and location, the room was very comfortable and lovely, breakfast was freshly cooked to order for us very nice, the palace grounds and old parts of Split are fantastic for exploring, beyind this there is nothing much to see, we caught a water taxi to Trogir which was really good. All of the hotels gave us a honeymoon gift which was so lovely. Overall we had such an amazing trip and most of this is down to the help of Andy and Dawn and the organisation of Rediscover. It was just perfect!!!"
