Fantasia @ Chez Ali

Dinner and Live Folklore Show

About Fantasia @ Chez Ali

Truly a '1001 Nights' experience - an excellent finale to any stay in Marrakech.

Activity code: RAKALI

Duration: Evening

Enjoy a delicious traditional meal of several courses, sampling Moroccan cuisine from the seven different regions, under elaborate caidal tents within a Kasbah centred on an arena. Traditional folkloric entertainment throughout the evening leads up to the grand finale; charging horsemen, acrobats, fire-eating, all contribute to the atmosphere of this unforgettable evening.

Your journey this evening departs the heart of the city on a road into palm groves, where twinkling lights beckon you out of the darkness to a magnificent spectacle. As the evening progresses, various folklore groups pass through the nomad tents singing and dancing to their throbbing music.

The highlight comes at the end of the meal when you will be invited to witness charging robed horsemen in a display of their old tribal power as they shout and fire off their muskets and muzzle-loaders, bringing their horses to a sudden halt before firing immediately in front of you. Above, in the night sky, Sheherezade and her Prince fly to the heavens on their magic carpet ride whilst fireworks light the night sky as the evening of magical splendour comes to an end.
