About Kamari

Kamari is the liveliest seaside resort on Santorini. Its unique volcanic beach has been awarded with two Blue Flags so is popular with families. Hotels, bars, restaurants, tavernas, cafes & gift shops are located along the pedestrianised promenade.

If you fancy a day away from the beach, there is an interesting walk from Kamari square up to Ancient Thira. As this site is on top of Mesa Vouno mountain the views from here are stunning. Here you will see the agora, Temple of Dionysos and the sanctuary of Artemidoros. The walk will take around an hour each way but there are also excursions to the site which run from Kamari.
