About Riad Yacout
Riad El Yacout is an old and traditional residence that has been carefully restored to provide hospitable, comfortable and affordable luxury accommodation. This house was built by a famous researcher & professor at the university of Quaraouiyine in the 16th century. In the year 2000, the current owners bought this property and spent years restoring the riad. It is ideally situated in the heart of the bustling Fez Medina near the large Batha Fountain, Riad El Yacout provides easy access to the Medina and the famous Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud). The riad comprises Classic Standard rooms as well as royally furnished Suites with the added bonus of a roof top panoramic terrace and a picturesque pool and pool-side terrace for relaxing.
This particular riad is most famous as the location for U2's recording of much of their album, "No Line on the Horizon"; one of our senior members of staff was fortunate enough to be visiting the riad and had a sneak preview of the new songs nearly two years before their commercial release.
This riad is available as part of any tailor made holiday with Rediscover the World.

Reviews
"My wife and I made a journey through Morocco during February. We decided that using trains and staying at riads would form a central part of our journey theme and are awfully glad we did. Our main advice and booking was aided by Andy and Dawn, Rediscover the World UK. We had a number of requests for guidance, all of which were met with patient, knowledgeable and practical responses. One city only offered very expensive options for a guide and we were left in no doubt that it was expensive and alternative solutions found. This is the mark of a good agent/adviser. One city had considerable restrictions on available accomodation owing to a music festival and still they managed to find something suitable. There was a lot of work involved in solving this, which we appreciate."
