The Kasbah Itran overlooks the Dades Valley near Kelaa M'Gouna. Located between the snow of the Atlas and the sand of the desert, Kasbah Itran is a real balcony overlooking the life of Berber people in the Dades Valley. Kasbah Itran was built using traditional materials - earth, water and straw to form adobe blocks. These blocks are used to make the thick walls; the roofs are made of bamboo stems intertwined with cedar logs.
The Itran has 9 rooms with bathroom including two large rooms for up to 5 people, ideal for a family or group of friends. From the private terrace you enjoy spectacular views over the valley. All rooms have air conditioning and a wood stove to feel comfortable during the coldest months of the year as well as hot water showers. Since 2010 there have been solar panels providing hot water to the Kasbah.
An astounding feature of the Kasbah is the framework of different terraces that overlook the fertile valley of the M´Goun river. In the kitchen they cook with gas and coal, which gives the perfect finish to the most typical plates of the rich and varied Berber food. Meals are served in cosy halls and if the weather is pleasant any one of the terraces of the Kasbah can be used.
The Kasbah has wi-fi access and a large parking area.
