Hotel Logis la Marine

Sidi Ifni

About Hotel Logis la Marine

Logis la Marine Guest House is a beautiful art-deco style property directly overlooking the sea in a quiet part of Sidi Ifni. From many rooms there is a plunging view over the beach, which is caressed by the sea breezes, providing fresh sea air.

This delightful guest house was originally built in 1934 as lodgings for naval officers by the Spanish, who at that time governed the region. It was largely abandoned from the 1970s until 2002 when it was renovated initially as a private home and then to become Logis La Marine. Today guests can enjoy traditional hospitality as well as a well tended garden, a terrace which becomes a solarium, a bar and a lounge / diner which is both large and well ventilated.

This hotel is available as part of any tailor made holiday with Rediscover the World.

Sidi-Ifni is 170kms south of Agadir; this area of the Moroccan coastline looks directly across the ocean towards the Canary Islands. There are beautiful beaches both north and south of the town, the superb arches dug out of the cliff at Legzira are fascinating, infact the coast abounds with wonders to discover. In Sidi-Ifni you’ll experience an authentic Berber atmosphere combined with enchanting remnants of its Spanish legacy, such as the Plaza Espana (renamed Place Hassan II) with its charming church, the Royal Palace (formerly the governor’s residence) and the old Spanish Consulate. Other places of interest include the lighthouse, the local airfield, now used as a souk on Sunday, and the shaded paths running alongside typical buildings from the 1930s.

Transfer Time from Airport: * 2.5 hours from Agadir Airport (private transfer).

A local guide can take guests for a visit to the souk at the weekend, a historic tour of the town or for a number of more active excursions.
